The Maintenance Fee is part of owning a website. It starts when the project does, not at launch: hosting and the staging server run from day one, and it keeps us both moving, with your photos, content and interviews on the calendar early instead of at the end. It covers premium hosting, DNS and caching, software updates and licensing, security checks, uptime monitoring, monthly backups, a staging server, a transactional email server, Google Analytics, and up to 2 hours a month of text and image updates. Where you land in the $160 to $500 range depends on the site: an online store takes more upkeep than a 5-page site. If I'm running marketing for you, I host and maintain the site, because I can't be responsible for results on a site someone else is changing underneath me.

Most sites can be fixed, and the Search & AI Visibility Audit is how you find out. Some carry a lot of baggage, like plugins nobody uses and scripts left behind by tools you cancelled years ago, and the upkeep costs more every month than it should. Then I'll propose a rebuild. It's a proposal, though, and you can say no and still get the monthly Search & AI Visibility Plan.
For some businesses that's a reasonable start. What AI tools don't reliably produce is a site that search engines can read, that loads fast, and that explains why you instead of the next business over.
I use AI as an assistant on my builds too. It drafts the structure, I direct it with what you tell me about the business, and then we review and polish together.
